Blood Ozone Therapy Vs Saline Ozone Therapy, How to Choose the Best
Choosing between blood ozone therapy vs saline ozone therapy might be too difficult if you don’t understand the differences.
Blood is a liquid tissue composed of about 55% plasma and 45% cells, mostly erythrocytes, able to cooperate in reducing the strong oxidant properties of a well-measured ozone dose. Blood ozone therapy can be classified into two types, one is Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation & Ozonation or EBOO which works like hemodialysis process & combined with ozone infusion, while the other one is autohemotherapy, a technique of taking blood from a patient to subsequently re-transfuse it along with oxygen.

Blood Ozone Therapy : Benefits & Risks
Ozone therapy is based upon activation of the blood using ozone and implements the minimal stress necessary to stimulate the bodies’ reaction in up-regulating the natural antioxidant system.
However, in some people, experiencing blood ozone therapy might be considered as a terrifying experience, therefore they choose another alternative which uses oxygenated saline water. This infusion process is claimed to be less painful & lower risk compared to blood ozone therapy. Unfortunately, this advantage also yields another weakness as well.
Benefits of Blood Ozone Therapy
Due to the ability to directly interact with the blood, blood ozone therapy is proven to give positive effects to the health more significantly, as example:
As a complementary or adjuvant treatment, ozone therapy can help to treat acute and chronic infectious diseases, particularly due to antibiotic or chemo-resistant bacteria, viruses, and fungi. It is a clinically useful supportive therapy.
- Cardiovascular & Ischemic diseases (cerebral and heart ischemia)
- Degenerative disorders: blood ozone therapy helps patients in the early phase of senile dementia. On the other hand, it is potentially useful in diabetic retinopathy, retinitis pigmentosa, and multiple sclerosis.
- Diseases related to lungs such as emphysema, asthma, and acute respiratory distress syndrome. Ozonated blood in autohemotherapy with low concentrations of ozone dosing reduces the chronic oxidative stress and improves oxygenation thus providing an important clinical adjunct for these patients
- Metabolic syndrome. Patients who are regularly doing ozone therapy are proving that the regular dose of ozonated blood is very useful, well exemplified in patients with type-2 diabetes, also suffering from chronic ulcers with no tendency to heal. The results are lower blood sugar levels & easier wounds to recover.
- Chemoresistant metastatic cancer and therapy of cancer-related fatigue, ozone therapy helps to build an immune system to induce apoptosis in abnormal cells. Kindly remember that ozone therapy should be taken as adjunctive therapy, since ozone therapy has no direct anti-tumoral activity in metastatic cancer because neoplastic cells are resistant. On the other hand, it could have positive effects as an adjuvant therapy where there is an analogous CD8+ lymphocytes cytotoxicity against tumor cells.
- Chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.
- Sickle cell disease, where ozone therapy appears to be very useful because it procures clinical improvement without adverse effects.
Blood Ozone Therapy : Risks
It is kinda inevitable for every therapy procedure to experience risks. Although the professionals are preventing it to happen by adding careful measurements, the uniqueness for every human body almost make it impossible to reach 0% side effects.
The risks of getting blood ozone therapy are:
- Nausea
- Dizziness
- Light-headed
- Vomiting
In the most extreme reaction, blood ozone therapy will trigger these effects:
- Air embolism
- Panic attack
- Hard to breathe
- Colic or muscular contraction
Saline Ozone Therapy
With all of those benefits above, blood ozone therapy such as EBOO or autohemotherapy seems too good to be missed, however it does not mean that oxygenated saline water should be totally ignored.
Oxygenated saline water is better for those people who are:
- Below 40 kilograms
- Children
- Having chronic anemic
- Allergic to ozone gas
- Maintaining stamina & health
- Having tendency to bleed more than normal
Ozone therapy with saline water works best if you have a busy daily life but you need to boost your health quality. It only takes approximately 20-30 minutes and no side effects since it does not affect the blood circulations directly

Hi I am wanting to find out if ozone therapy has any benefit if at all with HPV? I have read it is good of course to work against fungus bacteria and virus…. but what of the HPV virus? I actually want imput from a doctor here and not admin staff who are meant to bring in business.
I have recovered from a stage 2 vaginal adenocarcinoma some three years ago that was driven by HPV 16. each smear I have had ongoing has come back clear but I have been distressed to hear that clear PAP does not mean no HPV as it sounds .They have still detected HPV but not active.
please to advise. I was also wanting to perhaps speak with the DR ABOUT THIS?
CAN THIS BE ARRANGED.
